What’s in Store for Hesperia in 2024?

According to the Victorville Daily Press, January 5th, 2023, Hesperia’s commitment to growth and community enhancement are reflected in their future developments listed below:

Silverwood Development: The former Tapestry community in Hesperia is now called Silverwood, expected to showcase its first model home in 2024. The project spans 9,366 acres, with plans for 15,633 housing units and 700,000 square feet of commercial space. Phase I will include over 2,000 homes, a library, schools, fire stations, parks, and trails.

Economic Growth: Hesperia anticipates robust economic growth in 2024, aided by the Hesperia Commerce Center, a 3.5 million-square-foot complex. Completion of additional buildings is expected early in 2024, supporting local business.

New Restaurants: Two new dining options, Dairy Queen and Rosa Maria’s Mexican Restaurant, are set to open. Rosa Maria’s, known for its fresh Mexican dishes, expands from its origins in San Bernardino, while Dairy Queen’s opening marks a return after years of absence.

Starbucks: A new drive-thru-only Starbucks is planned for the Stater Bros. shopping center, aiming to be the first of its kind in the Mojave River Valley.

Charter School: A new Pathways to College charter school will break ground on 25.7 acres, serving up to 700 students from TK to eighth grade, with completion expected in October 2024.

Industrial Projects: The city approved three industrial warehouse projects totaling over 1.6 million square feet, enhancing local infrastructure.

Sewer System Upgrade: A new sewer lift station is under construction to improve the city’s sewer capacity, expected to be completed by late summer 2024.
