Two counties within the Inland Empire have made the top ten in a recently released survey, “Top metros for Job Growth: Tech, Energy, and Manufacturing.” Both Riverside County and San Bernardino County ranked together as sixth in terms of job growth. Jobless rates in the region have decreased, showing an employment increase of 4.2 percent.

Metropolitan areas that trumped the Inland Empire include San Jose-Sunnyvale, San Francisco-Redwood City, Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas, Louisville in Kentucky, and Atlanta in Georgia.

Overall, the Victor Valley region of the Inland Empire has experienced a 1.5 percent drop in unemployment.

Job growth in the Inland Empire can be attributed to the shift towards a logistics focus as its proximity to local ports is allowing the region to break out amongst competing areas.
