Expansion of Maersk at the Hesperia Commerce Center will Bring up to 500 New Jobs for Residents
According to Victor Valley News Group, March 7, 2024, the City of Hesperia announced that Maersk, a leading global logistics company, will expand its operations by establishing a 1.2 million square foot facility at the Hesperia Commerce Center. This expansion, one of the largest in the Inland Empire for 2023, is expected to create up to 500 new jobs, making Maersk one of the city’s largest private employers.
Hesperia Mayor emphasized the significance of this development for economic growth and job creation in Hesperia, enhancing the city’s appeal for businesses. Maersk’s new facility will contribute to a total of approximately 3.2 million square feet of occupied industrial space at the center, alongside other tenants like Modway Furniture and Peloton. Currently, 13 million square feet of industrial space is either completed or in the permitting process in Hesperia, reinforcing the city’s position as a prime location for business expansion.
