High Desert Home Prices Nearly Half of California State Average
As mentioned in the Victorville Daily Press, February 22, 2023, home sales in California inched up in January 2023 for the second straight month as interest rates continued to take a breather, according to the California Association of Realtors. California’s median home price receded in January 2023 to $751,330, down 3% percent from the $774,850 recorded in December 2022, which was the fifth straight monthly decline. January’s price was lower on a year-over-year basis for the third consecutive month, declining 1.9% from the $766,250 recorded last January 2022, the C.A.R. reported. A January 2023 High Desert Housing Report stated that the median sold price locally was $390,000. The report also revealed that there were 1,262 homes on the market, 322 sold, with 40 days on the market.
