Boeing Expands Lease Agreement at SCLA

Over 8,000 square feet of hangar space has been approved for SCLA.Boeing Expands Lease Agreement at SCLA

The Victorville City Council has approved an amendment to Boeing’s standard lease agreement with Southern California Logistics Airport, resulting in an additional 8,618 square feet of space.

Renewing a lease with Boeing is seen as a big achievement for SCLA. City Councilman, Ryan McEachron, has applauded the staff and everyone at SCLA as they have kept a good rapport with Boeing and has continued to attract business.

The price tag of the extended space will increase Boeing’s monthly base rent by $1,000, totaling the monthly bill to $52,962.88. In addition, it is said to have an annual 3 percent inflator.

The airport currently has two runways, along with remote space to do airplane paint jobs and maintenance. Brand-new unpainted airplanes are constantly being flown into SCLA, which is rapidly becoming a hub for that kind of activity and for Boeing after-market maintenance.

SCLA is a large facility not just designed around aviation, but manufacturing and warehouse/distribution as well. It is a multipurpose industrial facility which will benefit from the increased space.
