Lenwood Development Project Brings Asian Restaurants

Lenwood Development ProjectAsian Restaurants Coming To Lenwood

James Chen, famous for developing the memorable Chinatown in Las Vegas, Nevada approximately 20 years ago, recently announced the purchase of property in Lenwood. Developer Chen is planning a project that will cater to the Asian tourist trade of the area that has experienced a consistent upward trend.

The Tanger Outlets of Lenwood invite the Asian tourist market, and Chen wants to offer a broader selection of cuisine to this booming trade by having three to four Asian restaurants in the area. Escrow closed at the beginning of March, and Chen is now ready to start developing on his recently purchased acre that can be found on High Point Parkway, east of Panera Bread.

Timeline predictions say that the first bundle of Asian restaurants will open by the end of 2015. He hopes to offer a variety of traditional Asian favorites, with one Chinese restaurant serving dumplings and noodles, a Japanese restaurant that offers ramen, a Vietnamese restaurant with pho, and a Korean tofu parlor. However, he plans to add a fast food style twist to these restaurants, as this is the best way to cater to the needs of tourists who are traveling by bus.

A real estate broker said that restaurants in Lenwood notoriously produce higher numbers than their counterparts within their chains, and she expects Chen’s Asian establishments to experience the same kind of growth.
