New Hesperia development will be the location of a large Tractor Supply Company store.
Earlier in August, ground was broken on a massive retail location in Hesperia. Tractor Supply Company, based out of Tennessee, started the process of building a 19,000 square foot retail store on the corner of Main and Mesa Linda streets, west of I 15, on August 13th.
Tractor Supply Company has been serving its customers since 1938, specializing in products that support the rural lifestyle. Among its products are power tools, riding mowers, pet supplies, work clothing, generators, and lawn and garden products. This Fortune 500 business first showed interest in Hesperia after word spread that the biggest retail farm and ranch store in the entire nation would open last year in Victorville.
The groundbreaking event has been in the works since 2013. After scouting several locations in the High Desert for their new, large retail location, Tractor Supply Company settled on Hesperia because of its easy access from Interstate 15 and the high percentage of animal owners and lovers in the High Desert.
Locals have said they’re thrilled about this new development. Many of them have been forced to drive far distances to get the supplies they need to care for their pets and livestock, and anticipate that this local retail location will make getting the products they need much easier. Tractor Supply Company is expected to bring not just product to the area, but also jobs, since the company currently boasts 21,000 staff members.
