Alberto’s Mexican Food: Opening In Barstow

Alberto's Mexican Food Opening in BarstowBarstow Station awaits the opening of Alberto’s Mexican Food.

For foodies and families, we have good news. This month, Alberto’s Mexican Food is expected to open in Barstow Station’s former Taco Bell location. Alberto’s is in the final stages of getting their location up and running. They report that they have finished the remodel work and are waiting to receive their final inspection from county officials.

Unfortunately for Alberto’s and Mexican-food lovers, it appears San Bernardino County has had a full plate and the new restaurant has been forced to wait for their inspections. Once open, the San Diego chain will bring around a dozen jobs to Barstow.

In addition to the Mexican fare that will soon be served at Alberto’s, Barstow Station plans to fill the void left by Sizzler when it suddenly closed last fall. In early August, Bill Rosenberg, who co-owns Barstow Station with his brother, said they have something big in the works for the open space.

The only information he was willing to disclose is that it will bring a specialty restaurant that has never been in Barstow to the area.
