Some Services to Open at Kaiser’s New Hesperia Office

According to the Victorville Daily Press, July 18, 2020, a Kaiser Permanente official said construction of its Hesperia Medical Office near Main Street is moving along, with select departments scheduled to open sooner than expected. “Right now, we can confirm that Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics will open in December 2020,” Kaiser Permanente spokeswoman Gwen Kleist said in a statement. “There may be additional departments.” During the facility’s groundbreaking in November 2019, Kaiser officials set spring 2021 as the expected opening date for the three-story structure on Escondido Avenue, west of the Walmart Supercenter. Kleist said that additional services such as telehealth, and primary and specialty care would be available at the Hesperia facility by May 2021. A construction crew worked on the 54,000-square-foot building with tinted windows, HVAC units and a partially constructed parking lot that includes solar panel-canopies. The new facility will also provide Kaiser members with 30 provider offices that will also offer OBGYN, cardiology, and physical therapy. Also, a pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, nurse clinic, optometry, optical dispensing and conference center. The building will also offer expanded access health services, supported by the latest medical technology including telemedicine capabilities.
