New ARCO AMPM in Adelanto to Open by Early 2020

As stated in an article in the Victorville Daily Press, August 29, 2019, at the corner of Air Expressway and U.S. Highway 395 city leaders celebrated the groundbreaking of the new ARCO AMPM gas station and truck stop planned for the corner. Construction began to ramp up in early August 2019 after the arrival of long-awaited fuel tanks. The service station includes a 5,000 square-foot convenience store with 10 gas pumps in front, with two nozzles on each side, and six diesel pumps in the rear for truckers. An attached drive-thru restaurant with an unconfirmed tenant will eventually move in. Owner Karan Bhatia said doors should be open as early as February 2020. Showers and laundry machines for truckers will also be on-site. Bhatia also mentioned the possibility of adding a car wash. Plans also call for a hotel with a conference room, said Bhatia, who along with his family, joined city officials and staff for the ceremony and subsequent Indian feast in council chambers.
