Boeing Expands Lease Agreement at SCLA

According to the Victorville Daily Press, October 8, 2015, the Victorville City Council approved an amendment to Boeing’s standard lease agreement at Southern California Logistics Airport, fulfilling the company’s request for about 8,618 square feet of more hangar space. The addition will increase Boeing’s monthly base rent by $1,000 to $52,962.88 per month with an annual 3 percent inflator, according to a city staff report. But officials used the small expansion as an opportunity to laud August’s more significant agreement renewal with Boeing for 90,000 square feet of wide-body hangar space through August 2019. “Renewing a lease with Boeing is kind of a big deal,” City Councilman Ryan McEachron said. “My applause to staff and everyone out at SCLA and what they’re doing to continue to attract and keep businesses like Boeing operating out there.”
