Apple Valley Town Council Approves Funding Agreement for Green Tree Extension

According to the Victorville Daily Press, November 2, 2016, the Apple Valley Town Council approved a cooperative funding agreement for Victorville’s Green Tree Boulevard Extension Project. The move follows the City of Victorville and San Bernardino Associated Governments’ agreeing to the terms of a $12.5 million loan expediting the major transportation undertaking. The $45 million project will stretch Green Tree Boulevard about a mile from Hesperia Road to Ridgecrest/Yates roads and include a bridge over BNSF railroad tracks, according to a previous Daily Press report. It’s the third and final leg of the Yucca Loma Corridor, which will create a third arterial connection from Apple Valley to Interstate 15 via the recently completed Yucca Loma Bridge.
