San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board Shares Economic Outlook for 2022

As mentioned in the High Desert Daily, January 2, 2022, the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board has released its Economic Outlook for 2022. As expected, the logistics sector is booming, and added 21,100 jobs in the Inland Empire during 2020. The industry is on track to add an additional 26,800 jobs in 2021. Employers in San Bernardino County added 10,100 workers in October 2021, bringing total job growth over the past two months to nearly 23,000. According to the State’s Employment Development Department, the biggest job increases in San Bernardino and Riverside counties for October 2021 were government (up 8,000 jobs), logistics (up 7,400) and leisure and hospitality, which added 3,700 jobs. November/December 2021 data was not yet available.
