New Businesses Coming to Barstow in 2021

As mentioned in the Victorville Daily Press, December 28, 2020, a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant is coming to Barstow. Located on the corner of Fisher Boulevard and High Pointe Parkway, the new Louisiana-based Raising Cane’s will include in-store dining, a dual drive-through and an outdoor eating area, City Economic Development Administrator Amanda Hernandez said. Located on the east side of Interstate 15 near Lenwood Road, American Quartz opened in early 2021. The China-based quartz countertop manufacturer intends to hire a local workforce and collaborate with the city and Barstow Community College to develop a workforce development program, Hernandez said. The Fairfield Inn/Townplace Suites by Marriott is expected to start construction in 2021, southeast of the intersection of Mercantile Way and Lenwood Road. The hotel with four floors and an estimated 187 guest rooms has a design concept that allows for a blend of short-stay and extended-stay guests. The nearly 98,000 square-foot building will also include 185 parking spaces, multiple EV charging stations, a lounge area, print center, buffet, bar, meeting room, fitness room, pool, outdoor patio and grill. The Germany-based clothing store Hugo Boss was issued permits by the city in November 2020 and should open in 2021 at the Outlets at Barstow. The company’s products include men’s suits, formal wear, casual wear, children’s wear, sportswear, shoes, leather accessories, fragrances, watches, and eye wear. A new gas station is expected to begin construction in 2021 at the corner of Armory and Barstow roads.
