Bureau of Indian Affairs at End of Barstow Casino Review Process

According to the Desert Dispatch, March 3, 2016, a final decision by the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the two-part determination for the proposed Indian casino project in Barstow may be made by the end of the year, according to the lawyer working on the case. The Bureau of Indian Affairs recently released the draft Conformity Determination for the proposed fee-to-trust acquisition of 23 acres of land on which the Los Coyotes Band of Cahuilla and Cupeno Indians propose to construct a gaming facility, hotel, parking areas and other facilities in Lenwood.
