Metro, Caltrans to Hold High Desert Corridor Webinar

According to the Victorville Daily Press, February 16, 2014, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the state Department of Transportation will host a webinar this month to discuss a high-speed rail project that would connect Victor Valley residents to their neighbors in the west. Set for 7 p.m. on Feb. 26, the webinar will discuss a potential rail component of the High Desert Corridor, a proposed 63-mile long, east-west multipurpose transportation corridor between Highway 14 in the Antelope Valley and Highway 18 in the Victor Valley. If built, the High Desert Corridor could include a freeway, toll lanes, a high speed rail connection, green energy production, electrical transmission lines and a bikeway.
