Boeing Boosts Leased Space at SCLA

As stated in an article in the Victorville Daily Press, February 19, 2019, the City of Victorville announced that it has executed a lease agreement with The Boeing Company for additional hangar space at the city’s Southern California Logistics Airport. The additional 85,000 square feet of space located in Hangar 676 will be used by Boeing to expand its flight testing operation for new aircraft including the Boeing 737 Max and the yet-to-be-released, Boeing 777-X. Industry leaders say the new Boeing 777-X is the world’s largest and most efficient twin-engine jet. Boeing said the new aircraft will include larger overhead bins; improved cabin altitude, humidity, temperature, sound quality, lighting and cabin windows, the company said. The expansion lease with Boeing is the “second, significant lease” agreement executed by SCLA in just four months. The total leased space will generate more than $821,000 in annual gross revenue for SCLA, the city said.
