Highway 395 can be taken from San Diego to Northern California, and Highway 58 leads to Barstow and Bakersfield, connecting easterly to the I-15 interchange to Las Vegas and westerly to the 14 and 5 Freeways.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) plans to widen and realign a portion of Highway 58 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane expressway.
